This is a cropped WIP of something I started this weekend!
I’m super excited to finish it but I’ll be busy with work all week, so I just wanted to share some progress with you all since I haven’t posted anything in a while. The finished image will be much bigger (this version is a small close-up and only about 20% of the full picture). Hopefully I have some time to finish this soon so you can see what I mean. :3
Would this be considered steampunk? I’ve gotta acculturate myself to the definition of steampunk art because based on our poll, it seems inevitable that our Thiefshipping-Fans group on dA is going to be having a Thiefshipping Steampunk contest.

Bakura! For Bakura-related reasons.
As usual, I’m having issues with the tumblr preview telling me that everything is going to be awful and not work, so if this is really small and you can’t click on it… idk I’ll try and post a link to it or something >.<

I love that this pic is inspired by the song “End Transmission” by AFI. When I first heard that song, it just screamed Thiefshipping to me. Even got me thinking about writing fanfics again.

I drew the line art for this a while ago but I never colored it because I’m scared of embarrassing myself to death but adkjsbldkjnlkv. This is a Bakura for Amarantines, who draws the most spookiest wonderful Bakura ever. Her art is wonderful and extremely inspiring, so I tried digital watercolour this time. I’ve never done it before, so this is a first? Trying to produce a finished piece without lineart is so hard omfgdflkjbsdfasf. ;; Sorry it’s small and shitty, I love your art 25ever. blee blee blee

This was so hard for me to color because of all the contrast, so I’m not sure how well it turned out. :/
But anyway. This is supposed to be Yami Bakura right after he loses the duel to Yami Marik, and he’s being consumed by the blast from the Winged Dragon of Ra. That part of the anime when you see his form disappearing has always been such a strong moment to me. Bakura’s expression right then sums up his whole character. The drive, the persistence, the will. He’s not giving up, even in a moment of defeat.
